Tallahassee, like communities across the globe, is re-emerging from COVID restrictions ready to reconnect, boogie down and come together once more.
If you’re sticking close to home this fall, there is plenty for you to do. August is the final month of the Summer Backyard Bucket List. This promotion encourages residents to get out and enjoy attractions and restaurants in our own backyard. First Fridays at Railroad Square Art District

That’s right! First Fridays are back. Get out and enjoy shopping, art galleries, food and live music. Attendees are asked to wear masks and honor each store’s COVID protocols. Parking is limited so if you want options, plan on arriving early.
There is not one, but two outdoor concerts coming up at the Capital City Amphitheater at Cascades Park.
Sundown Concert Series
Two-foot Level with Slow Low Crow
August 28, 7 pm-10 pm
Tickets: FREE
After a year hiatus, this free concert series is back with a few safety measures in place. Attendance is limited, so you will need to register for your free tickets here. Camp out on the lawn or enjoy the amphitheater seats. Wheelchair accessible seating is available along with parking suitable for wheelchair ramps. Food trucks are not being offered at this time, so make sure to pack snacks, pick up take out from a downtown restaurant or at the very least, bring some water.

We’ve waited a year for this concert. Originally scheduled for 2020, it has been rescheduled for this September 2021. If you have tickets for the original date, they are still good. If you want to join the party, tickets are for sale here.
